Collection and use of Personal information

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a person.

LPW is the sole owner of the information collected by the Platform. LPW will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in the present Privacy Policy. LPW collects two types of information, (i) information that users and visitors provide directly to the Platform, such as when they register on the Platform (name, e-mail, phone number, postal address, etc.), request on-demand services or otherwise communicated with us, and (ii) data that LPW collects through tracking and tallying web pages that are viewed by users and visitors throughout the Platform (such as IP addresses).

The users’ private information is stored in the Clientsdesk, a CRM which is a part of LPW and which is hosted on Heroku servers.

Additionally, a part of our clients’ and partners’ data are included in LPW mailing lists powered by MailChimp.

To enable the functionality of the Platform, LPW shares the users’ data it retains with the following subprocessors: Google Cloud Platform, Twilio, Mailgun.

The information collected and retained by LPW is used for the purpose of direct contact and provision of services. Retained information shall be disclosed to the third parties with whom LPW entered into partnership, and shall not be used for purposes of targeted advertising.

Use of Cookies

The Platform uses cookies to optimize the services provided to users and visitors.

Cookies are small pieces of information that the Platform sends to the users’ and visitors’ computers for record-keeping purposes; this information is stored in a file on the users’ and visitors’ computer’s hard drive. Cookies make web surfing easier by saving the users’ and visitors’ preferences so that the Platform can operate the saved information to facilitate the users’ and visitors’ use of the Platform upon their return. These cookies are completely anonymous and contain no personal information concerning users and visitors.

Most cookies expire after a defined period of time or the users and visitors can delete their cookie file at any time. Most web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. Alternatively, the users and visitors can reset their web browser to refuse cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

E-mail newsletters

Newsletters are sent to users and visitors upon their registration on the Platform.

In every newsletter the Platform offers the ability to correct, update or remove any information provided by the recipient. The registered user can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the relevant link in the body of the newsletter. The registered users should be made aware that in case of unsubscription, important information concerning the operation of the Platform, shall not be made directly available to them.

Links

LPW is not responsible for privacy policies of other websites linked to the Platform. The users and visitors should read the privacy policy of each website linked to the Platform, in order to understand the information and data use for personal identification. The present Privacy Policy applies solely to the Platform and not to other websites linked to the Platform.

Misuse of services

In the event that services are misused, in particular if there is a suspicion of a criminal offence, personal information can be evaluated for the purposes of investigating the circumstances and, on a reasoned request, be passed along to the responsible authorities or to third parties affected by the misuse.

Erasure of personal data

Under the new European Union legislation, any user whose data is retained by LPW may request to delete their data. You may exercise this right by sending a request at [email protected].
